Basic Operation

Getting started

  1. To open Anycast carefully unlatch the screen cover clips at both top/front corners and fold it back.
  2. Release the latches on either side of the Anycast screen by sliding them toward you, then pull up to lock the screen in its open position.
  3. The power button is along the left side and toward the back of the unit.

To shut down Anycast, press the power button. A confirmation prompt will appear. Press Yes to continue or No to cancel. Follow steps 1-3 above in reverse order.

The Anycast upper screen shows 3 columns of information

Video

The left side of the Anycast upper screen contains Inputs or video sources for air.

Audio

The Anycast lower screen is audio controls. No audio is configured other than the 2 labeled sources. To select an audio source for air press the desired number. Your choice will be highlighted. Check that your audio choice and the PGM audio fader are both potted up.

Levels can be checked on the audio meter to the right. To listen to an audio source without airing it, press and hold PFL (Pre Fader Listen). A powered speaker has been installed to monitor audio output.

Note: The "Monitor Level" audio fader controls an inferior internal speaker.

Anycast on the Air

To select a video source press your choice from the list in the Input area and the source appears in the NEXT (PVW) area.

Pressing Take will put the source on PGM (AIR).

Since the Anycast is for emergency use only, all transitions should be Take.
